Transportation Information

Ljubljana offers excellent air connections. All flights are operated through Jože Pučnik Ljubljana Airport. The airport is located 25 km from the city center, with several convenient transfer options available.

Airport Transfers:

• Buses: Run regularly Timetable | Arriva Slovenija
• Uber (taxi): Approximately 30 minutes to the city center (€ 30–40). We recommend using Uber rather than regular taxis, as taxi fares can vary and may sometimes be expensive.
• GoOpti buses and shuttles: GoOpti is an award-winning demand-responsive transport service that operates direct and comfortable transfers 24/7 between Ljubljana and neighbouring international airports, as well as Ljubljana Airport.

Parking Information
For participants of ECOP, several parking options are available at the venue and in the immediate vicinity. As the Grand Hotel Union Eurostars is located in the heart of Ljubljana’s city center, we recommend planning your arrival in advance.

On-Site Parking
The Grand Hotel Union Eurostars offers an underground parking garage (shared with Eurostars uHotel). 

• Capacity: Limited (approx. 30 spaces)
• Rates: There is no hourly rate; the parking fee is € 28 per day/night
• Reservations: Spaces cannot be reserved and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Recommended Off-Site Parking
If on-site spaces are occupied, there are several public parking garages nearby that are convenient for conference guests:

• PH Trdinova –  Features wide parking spaces and is often the most cost-effective option for short-term parking (3–4 hours)

• PH Dalmatinova – Conveniently located within the City Hotel building       
  Address: Dalmatinova ulica 15, 1000 Ljubljana
• PH Kongresni trg – A large, modern underground garage beneath the main square

• PH Kapitelj (Zvezda) – Located near the cathedral and Zvezda Park

• PH Ilirija – A reliable option situated near the Tivoli Park entrance

Navigation Tip: Since parts of the city center are restricted to pedestrians, we recommend entering the specific address of your chosen parking garage directly into your GPS.

The ECOP 7 communications e-blasts are designed specifically to help keep you fully informed about the latest scientific programme highlights and exciting developments in the lead up to the conference.

Registration
The ECOP5 is open to all registered participants. Your official name badge is required for admission to the Conference Centre and all conference events. For security reasons, participants are requested to wear their badge at all times.

Exhibition
The ECOP7 Industry Exhibition is an integral part of the conference and provides an opportunity for networking and viewing important innovations. Thursday, 11 June 2026 from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday, 12 June 2026 from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, 13 June 2026 from 08.30 a.m. to 12 a.m.

Catering
Complimentary lunch and coffee will be offered to conference delegates at the times stipulated in the program in the foyer.

Badges
For security reasons, delegates are requested to wear their badge at all times during the conference. Delegates having lost their badge can obtain a new badge at the registration desk. A replacement fee of 50 EUR per participant will be charged.

First Aid
No dedicated first aid room is available in the Conference Centre. In case of a medical emergency, please refer to the ECOP 7 registration desk.

Insurance
The organisers do not accept liability for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. Participants are strongly advised to make their own arrangements regarding health and travel insurance. The organizers of the ECOP 7 accept no responsibility for loss due to theft or negligence.

Language and Translation
The official language of the conference is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.
